Not much to report, partly because househunting activities have started to intrude on nature activities and weather has been mixed during a chilly May.
Today a very late first visit to Brooms with Malcolm with modern success. On a windy day Malcolm started connecting with common carp of about 2lb on legered prawn whereas i fafed around with different swims without much success apart from one ide on polefished corn. Changing on to a swim on the Queensberry more or less behind him I got a nice skimmer of about 3.5lb on meat and then three carp on corn and another ide before conditions deteriorated and we opted to give up early. By this time we had six fish apiece, his all carp with just one on maggot. This wasn't a brilliant result and would probably been better if we had opted to fish the vacant swims on the Queensberry that were more exposed to the stiff breeze.
We had planned to fish the Saturday too, but gale force winds in the morning changed our plans
